To Farmers: Replants and MPCI Acreage Reporting
Attention farmers! We realize that you get busy feeding America and we wanted to provide you a reminder about replants and reporting needs with your farm insurance policy.
If you replant a crop, your crop insurance agent will report the plant date you first planted that particular crop on the acreage report.
Your crop insurance agent will not report the date you replanted the acreage!
This is the official regulation rule for replanting the same crops.
If, however, you planted corn before, and you are now tearing that corn up and switching to soybeans, this is different. In that scenario, this is not replanting! Instead, this is an example of a first crop/second crop scenario. Again, this is not a replant situation.
