Not So Sleepy Hollow!

There was certainly a bit of a surprise when the Union Colony Insurance office received a package all the way from South Dakota. Turns out our commitment to our farming clients paid off with a collection of luscious pears and fresh apples from Hackberry Hollow Farms!

If you love naturally grown, chemical free produce, Hackberry Hollows is the farm you want to know. This family of farmers keeps busy even when the October cold rolls in. As owner, Jerry Ward puts it:

“We raise just about everything possible from raspberries to mushrooms, hops, apples, pears, apricots, plums, melons, grapes, strawberries and all the usual vegetables.”

We wanted to share our pride and give a big shout out to Jerry Ward and his farm as a thank you for sharing his harvest with us.
